ENOCH/CEDAR CITY, UTAH
FIRST OF ALL, THE REGION. 2 ½ hours from Las Vegas, yet a world away. At the foot of spectacular Cedar Breaks National Monument; 30 minutes from Brian Head Ski Resort and Three Peaks Recreational Area, (fantastic off-roading trails); Near Bryce Canyon and Zion Canyon National Parks;
Adjacent to some of the best fishing and hunting country in the West. Though the temperatures are moderate, (average high and lows: January 43-18, July 90-57), you will experience all four seasons; Spring, Summer, Autumn, and a mild Winter. Though agriculture continues to play a large role in the valley, tourism, higher education, manufacturing, and the construction industry all enjoy strong growth in the region. The current population for the county is 35,000 and growing rapidly as this area is now nationally recognized for its high quality of life and comparatively low cost of living.
SECOND OF ALL, THE CEDAR VALLEY. The Town of Enoch, Utah, has deep roots. Founded during the days of the Mormon Iron Mission, Enoch is now known for farming, ranching, and the good old-fashioned values associated with country living.
Cedar City is called “The Festival City”, and for good reason. Best known for the Tony-Award winning Shakespeare Festival held during the summer months, the fun never ends as plays, parades, rodeos, concerts, and festivals continue year-round. For sports fans, Cedar City is the host for the annual Utah Summer Games and is the home of the Southern Utah University Thunderbirds. Shoot 18 holes at Cedar Ridge Golf Course or stroll through historic downtown Cedar City. On the outskirts of town you will find the conveniences of major retailers such as Home Depot, Walmart, and Staples, and a state-of-the-art medical facility, Canyon View Hospital.
THIRDLY, THE NEIGHBORHOOD. True, it is only ten minutes from town, but Hawthorn Estates is all about country-living. Built on farmland soil that was originally turned by horse-drawn plow, this community features custom ½ acre (approx.) home sites with room for your family and all of your hobbies; plant a large garden, install a sports court, or add a detached workshop. Each home site enjoys a grand view of colorful mountains to the East and to the West and comes with city water, power, sewer, and gas service. All roads are paved and lined with curbs and gutters.
